Mina Scott

Bass

Mina was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Originally a violinist, she switched to double bass in 6th grade at the suggestion of her orchestra teacher — a decision that shaped her musical path. With her rigorous training, she excelled in varsity orchestra throughout high school. After a break during college, she reignited her passion by picking up a bass guitar and amp from Craigslist, creating covers of her favorite songs online. In 2023, Mina answered a Facebook ad seeking a female bass player, leading her to join Kismet Khords.

Since then, she has become an active presence in the DFW music community, performing at private events, jazz lounges, farmers markets, and more with Kismet. Mina continues to blend her classical foundation with her love for contemporary sounds, carving out a unique place in the music scene and inspiring others through her dedication, professionalism, and artistry.

Bo Watts

Drums

Born in Meridian and raised in Madison, Mississippi, Bonishia grew up surrounded by music on all sides — literally. With a family full of singers and musicians, it was only a matter of time before she found her own rhythm.

She picked up her first pair of drumsticks before the age of ten and hasn’t put them down since. From school drumlines to Sunday mornings in Missionary Baptist churches, Bonishia has built her sound on passion, groove, and a whole lot of soul.

Her love for music runs deep — it’s her way to escape, create, and connect. Over the years, she’s blended her gospel roots with influences from R&B, Jazz, Pop, and Blues, bringing energy and emotion to every performance.

Now, as the drummer for Kismet Khords, Bonishia keeps the band locked in and the crowd moving. She’s all about growing as a musician, staying true to her Mississippi roots, and sharing her love for rhythm wherever the music takes her.
